A digital tool for monitoring piglet intestinal health
ColiPROGRESS is an application developed to optimize intestinal health in piglets. Developed in collaboration with 5 recognized experts in the fields of breeding management, animal health, nutrition and hygiene and comfort, it provides veterinarians, technicians and pig producers with an overview of the risk factors impacting the intestinal health of piglets, following a diagnosis registered on smartphone. A score for the farm is determined for each of the 4 areas mentioned above. After consultation with the veterinarian and technician, an overall report is automatically generated, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement. An action plan is proposed to the pig producer to improve the risk criteria identified.
The application enables the farmer to compare his results with national averages.
